Required Documents for Diploma Equivalence Applications

The documents requested by YÖK (Council of Higher Education) for diploma equivalence applications for Turkish citizens can be found at the following link.

 

The first step for the application for equivalence is to become a member of the equivalence application system and to make preliminary application. Click on this link.

 

After completing the following documents, you need to deliver them to YÖK by hand or by mail.

 

- Equivalence Application Form received from Equivalence Application System

 

- Original or certified copy of a high school diploma

 

- The original of the diploma or graduation certificate for which equivalence is requested,

 

- Notarized copy of the diploma or graduation certificate whose equivalence is requested, approved by the Turkish Foreign Representatives, and notarized translation,

 

- Official transcripts showing the grades and hours of all courses related to the diploma for which equivalence is requested, a notarized translation of this document approved by the Turkish Foreign Representatives, and a notarized translation of this document,

 

- For diplomas received from the member states of the European Union, the original of the Diploma Supplement and its translations approved by the Turkish Foreign Representatives or notary public,

 

- If there are courses transferred to the graduating higher education institution, the original copy of the official transcript showing these courses and the translation approved by the notary public or the Turkish Foreign Representatives, Original passport and filling up a passport information form of the diploma holder or photocopy of all pages processed and entry and exit documents to be taken from the passport branch of the police department.

 

- For the graduates of the universities in TRNC(Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus), documents showing entry-exit information to be obtained from the T.R. General Directorate of Security, TRNC Security Forces Command Immigration Directorate.

 

- The University Placement Result Document which is the basis for placement in the relevant year for the associate degree and bachelor's degree as of the year in which higher education is started among the students who are studying at universities abroad and requesting diploma equivalence in the Student Selection and Placement System (OSYS) higher education programs and quotas guide,

 

- Photocopies of all documents approved by the Notary Public or Turkish Foreign Representatives,

 

- Photocopies of all documents in A4 format (without staple, ribbon, spiral, etc.) and photocopy of Identity Card submitted during the application for equivalence
